Former Michigan ICE agent pleads no contest to sexually assaulting minor relatives
LANSING, Mich. — A former federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent pled no contest earlier this week to sex crimes, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced Wednesday.
Kevin Taylor, 49, of Riley, Michigan, has pled no contest to two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Taylor's plea is in relation to assaults committed on two minor relatives between 1989 and 1994, when Taylor was between 17 and 21 years old, the Michigan Department of Attorney General said in a press release.
The survivors of Taylor's abuse ranged in age of four and nine years of age.
"I want victims of sexual violence in this state to know that justice can and often is pursued in cases where assaults occurred years or even decades ago, or when their assailants have ascended to positions of authority," Attorney General Nessel said.
The plea deal includes a sentencing agreement of five to 15 years in prison.
Taylor will also be required to register as a sex offender.
Taylor is scheduled to be sentenced on April 28 at 9 a.m.
